Why the Tax is Our Unsung COVID Hero
Using GenTax, Fast Enterprises’ tax processing software, New Zealand Inland Revenue has been quietly and efficiently helping to support the economy and assisting thousands of businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic. Inland Revenue staff and their FAST colleagues were able to quickly make changes in their GenTax implementation to provide wage subsidies, issue loans to small businesses, and implement tax relief measures. These changes were put in place while Inland Revenue still carried on its business-as-usual. The inbuilt flexibility of GenTax has enabled New Zealand to repurpose its tax system to meet both immediate and future economic challenges resulting from COVID-19.

Nebraska VicToRy and Georgia DRIVES Recognized for Excellence in Government Partnership
AAMVA’s awards program recognizes those who have committed their time and resources to safety initiatives, outstanding customer service, and public affairs and consumer education programs throughout North America. In 2020, two Fast Enterprises projects received awards in Excellence in Government Partnership. The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles Vehicle Titling & Registration Modernization project was honored as both an international and regional winner and the Georgia Department of Revenue's DRIVES Project was recognized with regional honors.
Excellence in Technology Award
After the successful launch of their new integrated tax system, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue’s (DOR’s) modernization project received an Excellence in Technology Award at the Pennsylvania Digital Government Summit. In partnership with Fast Enterprises, the DOR implemented the GenTax software to produce major upgrades that include the launch of the Pennsylvania Tax Hub (PATH), as well as the online filing system, myPATH. The award recognizes stellar achievement in the public sector throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
New Department of Motor Vehicles System Hopes to Improve Service for Car Owners
The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicle’s (DMV’s) partnership with software company Fast Enterprises has allowed them to successfully implement VicToRy, a new Vehicle Services system. This much-needed upgrade has provided faster, more convenient services to the benefit of both citizens and staff members. The new system has expanded the range of services that are delivered to customers, with more available online capabilities and functions. As Nebraska DMV project manager Adam Eakin put it, this upgrade was both “timely” and “critical.”
New Hampshire Joins Northeast States in Tax System Upgrades
The state, like many around it, is moving ahead with an initiative to revamp a 30-year-old legacy system with an off-the-shelf solution provided by Colorado-based software company Fast Enterprises. The phased project is set for completion in fall 2021.
