
NH Department of Revenue Announces New State-of-the-Art Revenue Information Management System
The New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (NHDRA) has entered a contract with Fast Enterprises to modernize all aspects of the tax collection and payment process by establishing a new Revenue Information Management System (RIMS). RIMS will house and consolidate taxpayer data for an all-inclusive view of information and processes with direct online accessibility for taxpayers, practitioners and DRA staff.

NASCIO Recognizes Illinois IDES Project for Outstanding Achievement in Digital Government: Governmen
Eleven exemplary initiatives were chosen as recipients for the National Association of State Chief Information Officers’ (NASCIO) 2018 Recognition Awards for outstanding achievement in information technology in state government.
Recipients were announced this evening during the NASCIO Annual Conference in San Diego. This marks the 30th consecutive year NASCIO has honored outstanding information technology achievements in the public sector through the awards program. Recipients were selected by the NASCIO Awards Committee from a field of more than 100 nominees.

Oregon Tax’s Core Systems Replacement Project is the 2018 Oregon State CIO’s Gold Winner
The Oregon Department of Revenue Core Systems Replacement touched nearly every corner of the organization, provides a modern state-of-the-art system, and transformed organizational operations by creating new and more efficient workflows and business processes. This four-and-a-half-year project replaced 87 of the DOR’s core legacy tax systems with GenTax, a commercial off-the-shelf tax administration software from Fast Enterprises. This project was completed on time and under budget.

Massachusetts GenTax Project Receives Excellence in Technology Award
A multi-year modernization project to replace the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ legacy tax administration system with Fast Enterprises’ (FAST’s) GenTax integrated tax software has been awarded the Excellence in Technology Award as part of the 2018 Massachusetts Digital Government Summit.
Project representatives from the commonwealth’s Department of Revenue and the Executive Office for Administration and Finance accepted the project award, which honors outstanding achievements and innovative technology initiatives in the Massachusetts public sector.

CO DRIVES Project Recognized in 2018 StateScoop 50 Awards
The 2018 winners of the StateScoop 50 awards — which annually highlight the best and brightest in the State IT community — were announced Sunday, April 22 in Baltimore, Maryland, at the beginning of the National Association of State Chief Information Officers’ midyear conference.
The awards, which were presented for their fifth consecutive year, honor state government information technology and cybersecurity executives, industry influencers, up-and-comers and innovative projects.

MVA Takes Another Step to Make it Easier for Customers
As part of the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration’s (MDOT MVA) continued commitment to provide premier service to all Marylanders, the agency announced a new project called Customer Connect to modernize all information technology (IT) systems it uses to deliver services to customers. The Maryland Board of Public Works just approved the five-year project.
“Customer Connect will allow us to expand on the efficiencies we have already realized at MDOT MVA by using technology to further streamline processes and fulfill our mission to connect customers to life’s opportunities,” said MDOT Secretary Pete K. Rahn.
