New Department of Motor Vehicles System Hopes to Improve Service for Car Owners
The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicle’s (DMV’s) partnership with software company Fast Enterprises has allowed them to successfully implement VicToRy, a new Vehicle Services system. This much-needed upgrade has provided faster, more convenient services to the benefit of both citizens and staff members. The new system has expanded the range of services that are delivered to customers, with more available online capabilities and functions. As Nebraska DMV project manager Adam Eakin put it, this upgrade was both “timely” and “critical.”
New Hampshire Joins Northeast States in Tax System Upgrades
The state, like many around it, is moving ahead with an initiative to revamp a 30-year-old legacy system with an off-the-shelf solution provided by Colorado-based software company Fast Enterprises. The phased project is set for completion in fall 2021.
State of Illinois Receives Data Management, Analytics & Visualization NASCIO Award
The State of Illinois and IDOR were recognized for their data analytics initiative with an award in the area of Data Management, Analytics & Visualization from the National Association of State Chief Information Officers. To counteract fraud, and to increase revenue and improve compliance with state tax laws, IDOR developed and completed an initiative to utilize more sophisticated tracking and analysis of taxpayer data by becoming an early adopter of Fast Enterprises’ Fraud Manager and Analytics Manager.
Best of Washington IT Awards Honor State Agencies and Staff
Eight agencies and two state employees received “Best of Washington” Awards for the use of innovative technologies to improve and more efficiently deliver public services. Gov. Jay Inslee delivered opening remarks to summit attendees, and was on hand to congratulate the award winners at a Nov. 7 ceremony during the 20th annual Digital Government Summit in Olympia.
Four Tech Projects Promise to Change Tennessee for the Better
The Tennessee Department of Revenue was a finalist for the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) award for its implementation of the $50 million tax project TR3 (Rip, Replace, Revitalize!). The project implemented GenTax, a commercial off-the-shelf tax software from Fast Enterprises, which provides electronic tax filing and online payment options.
Hawai’i DOTAX Marks Milestone as it Deploys Final Phase of Tax System Modernization Project
With efficiency in mind, Hawaii’s Department of Taxation (DOTAX) implemented GenTax, a tax software from Fast Enterprises, to modernize their tax system. Through this modernization, the project was able to improve not only its efficiency, but also its security, compliance, and overall process for payments and returns.
