Step 1:
Research the Company
Ensure the company shares your vision—click the button below to read up on relocation, and then delve into FAST’s history, culture, and mission on our website and social media. When you're ready, take this quiz to see if FAST is right for you!
Step 2:
Submit your Application
Browse FAST job listings to find the position that’s right for you, and then follow the on-screen steps to complete an application. You will receive a confirmation email from our Applicant Tracking System, iCIMS, with instructions on accessing your candidate dashboard to view any application updates. You can also opt in for text notifications to also receive SMS updates.
Note: If you met us at an on-campus event and signed in with our QR code, please use the same email address to create your application.
Our recruiting team manually reviews every application within 2 weeks. You'll receive an email from iCIMS to let you know whether we're moving forward. If we need more details or documentation for your application, a recruiter will reach out to you directly.
Step 3:
Initial Interview
A recruiter will set up a time to learn more about you and your skillset and answer any questions you may have.
To set yourself up for a successful interview:
Practice common interview questions using a mirror, recording, or the help of a friend or family member.
Communicate proactively if you are having any issues with technology or scheduling.
Be prepared to speak about your background and qualifications for the role.
Write down a list of questions for the interviewers.
For a phone or Microsoft Teams interview, consider your surroundings and choose a location that is free from interruptions and distractions. Set up early to test your technology before the interview begins.
Review the job description and your research on the company.
Step 4:
Final Round Interview
How exciting, you’re almost there! Most of our final round interviews are conducted via Microsoft Teams video call, but some candidates may be asked to interview in-person.
You can expect to hear back from our team via phone call or email within 2 weeks of your final interview date.
The best candidate is a prepared candidate - to ace your interview:
- Follow the same preparation process that was recommended for your initial interview.
- Brush up on your technical skills. To prepare, try completing practice problems while explaining your thought process out loud.
- Demonstrate your interest by expanding your research on the role, company, and interviewers.
- Dress professionally and get ready to show your best self! Consider your surroundings and choose a well-lit location that is free from interruptions and distractions. You might also consider using a virtual background.
- Take notes throughout the call and jot down questions you want to ask.
- Show appreciation — a little thanks for the opportunity to interview and the interviewers’ time goes a long way!
Step 5:
Onboarding
Congratulations, FASTie! You got the job, but the recruiting support doesn’t stop there.
Our onboarding resources will ensure you have all the support you need to thrive before and after your first day.
Your dedicated HR contact will be available to answer any questions you have about your offer, benefits, and life at FAST.
Your assigned role Ambassadors can share the ins and outs of working on a project at FAST, answer questions about your role, and provide relocation tips.
HR will notify you of your first location about a month before your start date, if applicable. A dedicated member of our relocation team will connect with you to kick off your move and answer all your questions.
Your first 1-2 weeks with FAST will be spent attending NHO at our Headquarters in Centennial, Colorado. During NHO, you’ll meet new and experienced FASTies, learn more about FAST and our proprietary software product, and build the base set of skills and concepts you need to work with our software and on our project sites.
In our year-long mentorship program, you’ll be paired with an experienced FASTie who can help you navigate your first year at FAST and plan for a long-lasting career.
